In April 2022, I joined a passionate group of advocates in Jacksonville, North Carolina, for an outreach event. Our mission was to raise awareness and engage with current and former base residents and servicemembers. We urged them to spread the word and reach out to their congressperson in support of The Camp Lejeune Justice Act, which seeks justice for those harmed by the base’s water contamination.

The city’s council department and Congressman Murphy joined us in a show of support. Congressman Murphy played a key role in the formation of The Camp Lejeune Justice Act.
